About Deisha Viewpoint

While not the highest Koh Tao Viewpoints, Deisha Viewpoint provides a distinctive vantage point over Chalok Baan Kao and Chalok Bay, as well as a view towards Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Deisha Viewpoint is one of the less well-known and frequently frequented views on Koh Tao, despite its breathtaking outlook, making it a pleasant place to unwind for a bit. Every day at noon, the bar is open. You can stroll through the bush for around 50 meters or enjoy the view from the expansive balcony area. There’s a big granite rock here that you can sit on and enjoy the view from.

Access

You must take the turn off the main road between Mae Haad and Chalok Baan Kao, which is marked for Sai Nuan Beach, in order to go to Deisha Viewpoint and Viewpoint Bar. Although steep, the road is in decent condition. To get to Deisha View, you’ll have to veer to the left on one of the sharper turns near the top. The turning point is marked by some enormous signs for the bar. Since the dirt route can be rutted and difficult to navigate, and since you’ll need to climb some stairs to get to the bar and viewpoint anyhow, you can park your rental scooter there and walk.

Bar and Restaurant at Deisha Viewpoint Koh Tao

After reaching the viewpoint signage, ditch your scooter and embark on a scenic climb. 125 stairs lead you to Deisha Bar, your reward for the effort. But the climb is just the beginning!

Deisha Bar offers a culinary adventure alongside the stunning panorama. Their menu boasts a wide variety of food and drinks available all day, fueling you for relaxation or exploration.

You can go past the restaurant to the viewpoint itself, or you can lounge on the comfortable bean bags and hammocks on the roof terrace while admiring the scenery.

The real viewing spot, a big level boulder, is located through the jungle approximately 50 yards past the restaurant.

Although it’s little, the vista makes the effort worthwhile. Being one of Koh Tao’s less well-known overlooks, it is seldom crowded and provides a tranquil setting for taking pictures or unwinding for a bit.
